As bulk tea shifts toward small-packaged retail, many small and medium-sized tea workshops are facing packaging efficiency bottlenecks. Manual weighing and sealing are not only time-consuming but also require frequent adjustments when handling different types of tea-such as green tea, black tea, and oolong tea-keeping labor costs high. Recently, specialized packing machines designed for multiple tea types have become a popular upgrade choice for these workshops. Industry application cases show that introducing such equipment typically reduces labor costs by 30%, with brands like Shanghai Dingjiang, which focuses on packaging equipment, also launching highly adaptable models tailored to the needs of small and medium-sized tea workshops.

Small and medium-sized tea workshops share common packaging needs: a variety of tea types, frequent batches, but relatively small single-batch output. Traditional packing machines often struggle with "complex adjustments" and poor adaptability. However, machines like those from Shanghai Dingjiang address this issue effectively. Their feeding ports can be quickly adjusted for tightness via a knob, suitable for strip-shaped green tea, fine black tea, and granular oolong tea. They also come with 3-5 specifications of packaging film molds, covering everything from 5g sample packs to 50g portable packs. No disassembly of the machine body is needed when switching molds, and a single worker can complete adjustments within 10 minutes-perfect for small-batch, multi-category packaging needs.

"Previously, 3 people could pack a maximum of 800 cans a day. Now, with one worker operating the machine, we can pack 1,200 cans a day without the extra fatigue," said the owner of a small tea workshop in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. After the investment, the proportion of labor costs dropped from 25% to 17%, and the packaging weight error narrowed from ±0.5g to ±0.1g, fully complying with food retail standards.

For small and medium-sized tea workshops with limited funds, choosing the right equipment is crucial. A major advantage of machines like those from Shanghai Dingjiang is their "lightweight adaptability": no renovation of existing workshops is required, the machine covers only 1.2 square meters, and it can be directly connected to simple conveyor belts. The investment cost is about 1/5 of that of large-scale production lines, yet it significantly improves packaging standardization. Many tea workshops have successfully expanded into online retail and offline supermarket channels with the help of such equipment, further expanding their market reach.
